Ukraine: Statement of the UCCRO on the new crimes against humanity committed by the Russian Federation in Ukraine
During May 13–14, 2026, Ukrainian cities across the country — Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odesa, Rivne, Lutsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Uzhhorod, Lviv, and others — once again came under massive attacks by Russian missiles and drones.
As a result of these terrorist attacks and crimes against humanity, many people, including children, were killed and injured. Apartment buildings, private homes, and civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed.
The Russian Federation, while being a “permanent member” of the UN Security Council, has once again flagrantly disregarded international humanitarian law and demonstrated to the entire world the complete immorality, criminality, and inhumane nature of the ideology and practice of “Ruscism” — modern-day fascism.
The Russian regime bears responsibility for crimes committed in Ukraine and is also complicit in crimes against many other nations.
Once again, we call upon both the permanent and non-permanent members of the UN Security Council to demonstrate determination and political will in establishing a just peace and to condemn the Russian Federation, which unleashed and continues to wage an aggressive war against Ukraine, commits crimes against humanity under the guise of the so-called “special military operation,” and contributes to the spread of military conflicts throughout the world.
We call upon the nations of the world to strengthen sanctions against the Russian Federation, Russian politicians and their family members, as well as Russian religious leaders who are complicit in crimes against humanity in Ukraine by approving and encouraging them.
We thank the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine and every Ukrainian Defender! May God grant them strength in the struggle against evil!
We thank the Ukrainian rescuers, medical workers, and essential service personnel for their selfless service!
We pray for the people who have suffered from Russian terror. May God strengthen and comfort them.
We thank our international partners and everyone who continues to stand on the side of good in this dark time, who remains in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and supports Ukraine.
O Great and Almighty God, protect our beloved Ukraine!
