Deutschland: Call for Peace from the CCEE and CEC

We, the members of the CCEE-CEC Joint Committee, gathered in Frankfurt for our annual meeting, representing Christian traditions in Europe, in order to strengthen our cooperation and dialogue, express our solidarity with all persecuted Christians, not only on our own continent but across the world.

We recognise the suffering, fear and damage being committed to the whole body of Christ. Our prayers are with all afflicted peoples, from Ukraine, across the Middle East, to all the world, especially in the Holy Land where our Lord and Saviour was born, walked, suffered, died and rose again in order to bring us peace.

We are inspired by the strength and resilience being shown in the midst of this great suffering, as well as the various efforts to promote a culture of peace, justice and reconciliation. We encourage Christians in Europe and around the world to join these efforts.

As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are called to pray together for peace in the world, and we must be committed to protecting the life and dignity of every human person. (Quelle: www.ccee.eu, 11. September 2026)
