The head of the commission of the Ministry of Culture for the acceptance and transfer of state property sites of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, Mariana Tomin, stated on a national telethon that three objects of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra are still barricaded by unknown individuals. This was reported by Censor.NET.

"We returned the property to the state and transferred all these sites to the reserve, but as of today, there are three facilities (buildings 54, 57, and 58) where unknown individuals barricaded themselves, and this is one of the reasons why the Lower Lavra is restricted. But I believe this issue will be resolved soon," she said.

On January 5, the Commission for the acceptance and transfer from the UOC MP to the state of the Assumption Cathedral and the Refectory Church of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra completed its work.

Since March 29, 2023, the National Reserve "Kyiv Pechersk Lavra" terminated the lease agreement with the Holy Assumption Monastery of the UOC MP. On the same day, the Economic Court of Kyiv opened proceedings at the suit of the Holy Assumption Kyiv Pechersk Lavra of the UOC MP against the reserve "Kyiv Pechersk Lavra" regarding the unlawful termination of the lease agreement, and the UOC MP itself stated that they had no intention of vacating the Lavra until the end of the court hearing. On August 9, 2023, the court recognized the termination of the agreement between the monastery of the UOC MP and the reserve "Kyiv Pechersk Lavra" as lawful.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on March 30, 2023, also recognized as no longer in force the government's order on the free use of buildings and facilities to the Holy Assumption Kyiv Pechersk Lavra of the UOC MP.
