Die Bischofsversammlung der Serbischen Orthodoxen Kirche (SOK) hat eine Reihe neuer Bischöfe ernannt, dabei wurde Bischof Joanikije (Mićović) zum neuen Metropoliten für Montenegro und die Küstenländer bestimmt. Seit dem Tod von Metropolit Amfilohije (Radović) am 30. Oktober 2020 hatte der bisherige Bischof von Budimlje und Nikšić bereits die Metropolie verwaltet.
